Uncharted 4 was yet another unbelievably gorgeous action adventure from Naughty Dog, but the developers just about managed to keep the formula fresh by making a few additions to the gameplay mechanics as well as improving the writing. Nathan Drake's cheesy one-liners notwithstanding, the story's emphasis on his relationship with Elena and the limits of illegal treasure hunting as a way of life made for a more substantial narrative which went beyond the tired clichés of most Indiana Jones clones.

The standalone expansion The Lost Legacy ditches the Drake family entirely in favor of two of the series most prominent female characters, Chloe and Nadine, and the developing interpersonal dynamics of this new duo seems to be the most interesting part of their joint venture on the Indian subcontinent. So far, though, I've almost spent more time having fun with the Photo Mode feature than I have actually playing the game (see latter part of this video for some examples, including a few silly ones).
