In my first playthrough of Wolfenstein: The New Order, I was vaguely aware of its stealth mechanics but always relied on the game's ludicrous arsenal (double shotguns!) to get through each enemy-controlled area. Partly as a result of playing on Über difficulty, I've now been exploring the silent option and it's actually rather good. As always with stealth in first-person games, it's particularly nice to explore environments slowly and take in the sights without rushing to the next objective marker. The rain-soaked military checkpoint in the game's third level ("A New World") made for an atmospheric and slightly Metal Gear-esque experience which I certainly didn't have the first time I played TNO.
