UPDATE: I discontinued working on this prototype because I was hired for a real game dev job. I needed a real job and real money after Hurricane Ida and found something I love working on at an awesome company. This prototype took a little over 2 weeks working a few hours per day, and adding it to my portfolio definitely helped me get hired. I may revisit this idea some day and do something with it. A look at my latest progress in my grand strategy game prototype in Unity, written in C#. I now have a working system for buildings and the production of goods, and a working trade/market system to buy and sell commodities on the market. There are a few minor kinks to work out of the system, such as floating-point imprecision and rounding issues, but I've always been pretty good at debugging and refactoring and enjoy perfecting things. :-)


This project is mainly for employment portfolio purposes, or perhaps in the hopes of finding some good programmers and artists to work with who want to help make this into a real game project.
