Finally broke the 2m30 barrier. So far this was the most difficult map in episode 1. Most of my attempts ended in death. The other attempts ended with pinkies wandering the left or right sections of the map, while I was waiting for them at the center (the exit).

This map is full of enemies and tight corridors, such that running around is already a challenge in of itself, let alone killing everything and managing the health+armor. Planning the rocket launcher ammo is also tricky: the rockets are great for dispatching pinkies in 1 shot, but they are even better against close groups of imps/zombies. The problem there is not blowing yourself up with all the stuff that's trying to move up to your face as you're shooting.

Just before getting the blue key, I feel that the first rocket is wasted: it only explodes the barrels, but a shotgun blast would be enough for that. The problem with the shotgun is that afterwards you don't have enough time to switch back to the rocket launcher before the pinkies are already on top of you. I tried doing that and 75% of the time I either lost a lot of health, or just died to my own rockets. I also tried shooting the barrels with the shotgun and then running back to the other corridor to shoot the rockets safely.

Apparently, this works fine at the moment, but pinkies will start moving through the other corridor which is now open, and get stuck later in the red door room. The when you're at the level exit, you have to back-track to kill them and lose lots of time. Not sure if there's anything else that can be done about this issue.

I consider the current time of 2m29.43 (3rd place in DSDA) to be "acceptable", but the next best time to beat is 2m15.94 (2nd place, from Vile) and feels out of reach for my current skill level. I'd rather just hone my skills by running other levels for the time being. But I will definitely consider running this again in the future. Perhaps with fast monsters too!
