[World Record] UV Respawn Speedrun of TNT Map 11 in 2:56 {No Comment}
2A reasonable run, with some mistakes. I think going below 2m40 is possible. I deviated from Method's strategy by skipping some areas; namely the green armor at the start, and also optimized the beginning to lose less time switching weapons. However, the end of the level is a bit unpredictable, and that's where mistakes happen most frequently.
Managing ammo is very tricky on this map. There are so many things spawning/respawning that you can even run out of shells if you're not careful. Rockets are especially difficult to use. They are most efficient in the warehouse area, where you can kill hordes of hit-scanners with a single rocket very quickly. The problem is finding a good vantage point to shoot rockets from; shooting rockets downwards on the enemies below usually just shoots the floor at your feet and blows yourself up.
The warehouse in general is absolutely chaotic with respawning monsters. It already has, by design, swarms of teleporting monsters after you fire the first shots; as well as archviles. Add the respawn flag on top of that and you get a frenzy of monster teleporting / respawning / being ressurected at a faster pace than you can kill them. The best strategy is to NOT stay there; to run out of the level as fast as possible. But with UV Respawn requiring 100% kills; you are obliged to stay and survive the swarm... if you can!
Things to improve:
0:23 - Missed an SSG shot on the 2 imps outside (1sec)
0:54 - Missed 2 shotgun shots when trying to shoot some barrels (1.2sec)
2:04 - Fell down from the crates because of a line of blocking monsters below (10sec)
2:26 - Wasted time switching between the SSG and the rocket launcher several times (2sec)
2:49 - Killed a few more enemies than I needed to (1sec)
2:56 - Got blocked by sergeants just at the exit (1sec)
