Erratum: I later discovered that the minimum is actually 25 rockets to kill a cyberdemon, but it is just extraordinarily rare to kill it in less than 36.

After only 8 minutes of grinding, at attempt number 13, I got a time of 30.97. So I thought to myself: "If the current record is at 30.23, with a few more attempts I will surely be able to get a 29s run!". Boy was I wrong... I grinded this map over the course of 7 days, spent more than 3 hours on it and did a total of 394 attempts, and the best I could get after that was 31s. How is this possible? Did I just get a ridiculous amount of beginners-luck 8 minutes in? So much so, that it would prove to be impossible to get that lucky again, even after spending 25 TIMES longer grinding the map afterwards?

Honestly, it felt like I got extremely unlucky, because that early 30.97 increased my expectations, and made me set an unrealistic goal for the map. That resulted in frustration because I spent hours grinding, and couldn't see any progress at all. I was doing worse the more I practiced.

Anyway, I had to settle for the 30s97. In this run, the starting movement was not very bad, although I hit a few walls. Afterwards, I did not miss any rockets, and no lost souls got in the way: I managed to kill the cyberdemon with 2 lost soul attacks and 37 direct rockets. The minimum number of rockets is 36, so this was indeed a very very very lucky run.
