It's a metroidvania platformer. Arguably, I guess you could say you play a 'baddie' or maybe anti-hero? You're a vampire and feed on the blood of the townsfolk. If you want to use keyboard you may need to unplug your gamepad as the game was not functioning with keyboard for me. Platforming was okay, you can rebind controls if needed. Combat was okay, your starting attacks are a bit meh, but you can unlock new attacks. I found a couple of secret areas, they're very rare to come by. Your health system, once upgraded as shown at the start of the demo, is fantastic. But once you lose your powers and start from scratch, you will be looking forward to when you're upgraded again. Boss battles are very difficult. The enemies don't have turning animations, so they just blink from one direction to the other. This is even during their mid combo or attack pattern sequence, so it is very difficult to catch them out. Especially, when the bosses go into their multiple phases.
