WCWLF: Project Black Sun
Hey, there! Here's another What Can We Learn From video.
The "What Can We Learn From" video series is a series designed to take a more in-depth look into games. Unlike a review video, the goal isn't just to point out frustrating or excellent pieces of the game, but to examine and understand the good underlying fundamental elements of the game's design and explore alternatives to bad elements.
It's also supposed to be funny.

Anyway, this time, we're taking a look at a 2011 Metroidvania named Project Black Sun. You probably can tell that I like Metroidvanias pretty well, and this game does a few things well. It also does some things a bit annoyingly.
The art is great, and the music's pretty nice, too, but it lacks some common conventions to make it easier for the player to play - not to make it easier for the player to beat. I'm all for difficult games, but only as long as the game asks of you what it really equips you to handle.
Have any suggestions for games to learn from? Leave them in the comments!
Thanks for watching, and have fun!
