We Found Nintendo Switch 2 Consoles In The Wild At Walmart!
864Since the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 in June, it has been hard to find in the wild due to high demand and restricted production. Every few weeks, I check out our local Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Costco, and Sam's Club to see if I can find any. I had to leave town on a business trip, but in the way I stopped off at the Walmart in Decatur, IL to pick up some drinks and snacks for the 6 hour road trip. While there, I went back to the electronics section to see if they had and Nintendo Switch 2 systems in stock.
When I reached the department, I saw there was a nice end cap display featuring Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart Works, Mario Party Jamboree, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Around the corner they had displays with PlayStation 5 Slims, PlayStation 5 All-Digitals, and a PS5 Pro. just past that was the Nintendo Switch 2 Display, and even though the TV with the demo was powered off, there they were!
This particular store had 2 Switch 2s in the showcase on display. I appreciated the fact that they had a sign posted limiting purchases to 1 per person per group per day. This keeps scalpers at bay, at least a little, and let's those who actually want the system to play get one.
They also had a decent selection of games, from Mario Kart World, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, Street Fighter, and more. I was shocked to see WWE2K25 on the shelf, I didn't think that was out as of yet!
