Smallest Charging Dock For Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED & Switch 2?
79Sometimes you just want to charge your Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, Switch Lite or Nintendo Switch 2,but you don’t want do dock the system. There are times when you need to charge but you still want to play in Tabletop Mode. While the Switch2 has a top USB-C port so you can do this, the other Nintendo Switch Systems don’t allow you to do this. Dobe has been a manufacturer we’ve been fans of for some time, and we’ve loved their Nintendo Switch accessories. Well, they just sent us their new tabletop charging dock that is super tiny, super functional, and super awesome.
Dobe designed the charging dock to work with ANY Nintendo Switch variant. They did so by omitting the little nubs that normally align a system with a dock. A single male USB connector is used to align the system on the dock and provide power to your system. To provide power to the dock, you will need to provide your own USB-C power supply. I personally recommend using the Nintendo Switch 2 Power Supply regardless of what system you’re going to use this with. See, that power supply is a switching power supply, and is compatible with all variants of the system.
The design of the USB-C port on the back of the dock is a little different in its implementation as it’s vertical vs being horizontal. I oesn’t change the functionality but it allows the dock to be slimmer overall. It’s pretty simple and elegant in its design and implementation.
