Mega Man, the first game in the wildly popular video game series that spawned nearly 100 spin-offs and sequels, was a humble 1987 release on the Nintendo Entertainment System from a six-man development team at CAPCOM, under the name "Rockman". As a first foray for the company into console development, it was not a great commercial success, but was widely praised for its smart and accessible design, and kicked off a series that would help to cement CAPCOM as a game development powerhouse in Japan.
WedSNESday is the Level 0 NPCs weekly series where we play one older game for one episode, just to relive the nostalgia and maybe make your hump day just a little bit more fun.
