Matt & Luke struggle into their bright purple onesies and fashionable domino masks and blast off into the not-so-distant future as we enter the comic book world of Phantom 2040. Marvel at amazing superpowers like punch, and shoot gun, and use laser rope! Luke is behind the wheel blasting Biots and wondering who the hell he's fighting in this surprisingly tight, yet undeniably weird SNES title.

Phantom 2040 was developed by Hearst Entertainment & Sunsoft and published by Viacom in 1995 on the SNES and Genesis. Based off of the 2040 animated sci-fi TV cartoon created by Lee Falk & David J. Corbett, borrowing the distinctive visual style of Peter Chung, creator of Æon Flux, it is an exploration-rich action platformer with a focus on environmental puzzle solving & multiple choices, leading to a total of 20 possible unique endings.

WedSNESday is the Level 0 NPCs weekly series where we play one older game for one episode, just to relive the nostalgia and maybe make your hump day just a little bit more fun.
