In our last video about how Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils legitimately had the worst 1st overall rookie season in 20 years in terms of points, points-per-game, and points-per-60. Well, the most prevalent comment on that video indicated how Jack Hughes should have, and probably would have benefited from, going to the NCAA instead of going straight from the USNTDP to the NHL. A quick look at the other National Team players from 2018-2019 in Trevor Zegras, Matt Boldy, Cole Caufield, Alex Turcotte, Cam York, and a few others shows off the steady transition that was able to take place between the USNTDP to the American collegiate hockey system. So, with this in mind, what if Jack Hughes, the 1st overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and touted among the top NHL prospects of this season went that route too?
