2,579Have you ever lost all your health in a fighting game but didn’t actually die? That's because you were just kept alive by a magic pixel!
The magic pixel is when your character still has a tiny sliver of health left that can’t be seen on your health bar.
There are no special mechanics or changes to the game that happen when the magic pixel is in play, but it does create an atmosphere of desperation, as you watch a player fight to survive with literally no margin for error.
A great example of this is the match between Daigo and Infiltration at Capcom Cup 2015, where Infil’s Chun Li nearly takes the win. But, living on the magic pixel, Daigo makes the unthinkable comeback.
