I've finally finished every single dungeon currently available in Final Fantasy XIV. Which dungeon was the very best? I want to share my personal favourite dungeons, some for story reasons, some for gameplay and awesome bosses, some just for the music and atmosphere. Story spoilers ahead and I'm going to do this in a top 10 format, and let me know your favourite Final Fantasy XIV dungeon in the comments!

Some quick honourable mentions, I've got fond memories of the original Ampador Keep, specifically for the Demon Wall Boss which was really fun at the time. I think Baeslar's Wall deserves a mention just for the boss saying "SLOPPY" every time he does a certain attack. "SLOPPY" I love the demonic theme of Haukke Manor normal and hard mode. And I like the Aery just for it's vibrant use of colours and some epic boss battles.

Pharos Sirius is a massive lighthouse that's been corrupted by the calamity and now taken over by a Siren which has been a summon in previous Final Fantasy titles.
You start in a sewer like environment and you're instantly hit by this dungeon's incredible music, the vocals I imagine being sung by the Siren itself. You climb the corrupted lighthouse as it falls to pieces, fight off some zombie sailors that have been enslaved by the Siren, and then you get to face off with the Siren as the final boss. A pretty cool little fight where you yourself will get mind controlled unless your healer keeps you at max HP.

The Paglth'an is currently the final dungeon of FF14. It's got a gorgeous scorching sky and throughout the dungeon we're being assisted by Ensteinin and the badass dragon Tiamat which makes this pretty awesome with some bonus epic cutscenes. The second boss is kind of unique, where you deal with a Garlean tank but what we're really here for is the Lunar Bahamut fight. A pretty fun boss fight where Bahamut re-uses some of his nasty attacks from Bahamut's Coil.

Snowcloak is the polar opposite of a dungeon set between snowy mountains and crystallised caves. It's got this really chill atmosphere and relaxing music, it's a nice change of pace from other dungeons.
The second boss is yeti with interesting mechanics. you'll need to hit other enemies with his snow breath to turn enemies into snowballs and then fling the snowballs at the Yeti when he charges up his special attack.
Fenrir makes an appearance as the final boss and he is jacked here. He throws ice crystals at you, and you'll need to hide behind any remaining crystals to avoid his ultimate move Lunar Cry.

Amaurot is a critical story dungeon of Shadowbringers. From the distance the city looks just like Rapture from Bioshock but it's actually based on a ficitional city called Amaurot from the book Utopia. But we're running through the city as it's burning, collapsing and falling apart. The final segment of this dungeon takes place in the middle of space, both the city and outer space look incredible. The final fight with Therion is tense and has you fighting on a narrow platform that very slowly becomes destroyed leaving you with no space to fight. And of course this leads into the epic Shadowbringers finale .

Speaking of finales, The Ghimlyt Dark dungeon is the finale of the Stormblood extended story content. It's an epic battlefield between the united alliance and the Garleans. I find that all 3 of the bosses here are pretty fun and there's loads of enemies here that are mechanical references from previous Final Fantasy games. I just love the themes of war and battle here. The skys are filled with the effects and aftermath of distant battles giving you just a sense of the scale of this event.

Now the Twinning dungeon... No dungeon in any game deserves music as good as this, this makes the list just for it's music. We scour our way through an alternative Crystal Tower, pretty nice visuals illuminated by crystals. And we come to our final boss, Tycoon which is based on Alexander and his room contains hints for theory crafters to calculate how the Tycoon's very existence came to be.

The Wanderer's Palace is an old dungeon, available at the very start of a Realm Reborn, it's almost starting to reach into the realms of nostalgia for me with it being 8 years ago. Tonberries are one of my most feared enemies in the Final Fantasy series, they act cute as they slowly waddle towards you but they're some of the most dangerous enemies about. Wanderer's Palace is full of Tonberries, there's even larger stalker Tonberries that are...
