When Jesus Turned Water Into Wine...🍷
3Hello and thank you for watching, in the run up to Christmas, I felt it was appropriate to talk about Jesus's first display of his glory.
I like the graciousness he had at the wedding at Cana, it wasn't his idea but he went along with it anyway, he must have known Mary was going to ask him...
And after he turned the water into wine, it cemented his disciples faith in him, and began a series of miracles that his disciples would remember him by.
Try to imagine yourself at the wedding in Cana Galilee, how would you have felt witnessing all this unfold first hand?
After all, the best wine is usually served first, not at the end when everyone is drunk 😎.
Then, afterwards in John 2, out of zeal for his house, Jesus overturns the tables of the money changers, after making a whip made of cords.
His temple was being defiled by greedy, (possibly deceptive) merchants, and at any rate it was not appropriate for that kind of business to be carrying on there.
How would you have felt, witnessing all these things?
I will say this, when God gets angry it's always for a just and righteous reason, not like us, who often times lose our tempers because of our egos etc...
