Why Did Jesus Have To Die?
Hello, I hope and pray you are all well, here I explain why Jesus had to die, and use John Stott's book "The Cross Of Christ" to aid me.
Out of it I read parts of chapter 2, and explain in my own words why he had to lay his life down for all of us.
It was out of love, and a desire to reconciliate mankind to himself, that he the creator of everything humbled himself, even to a cross.
While we are alive on earth, it's up to us whether we want to know him or not?
For he's historically proven to be real, are we to think this man was a liar?
No, everything points to him being the son of God, Amen.
Think of the pain, (both physical, mental and spiritual) that he had to go through, as well as the disrespect and humiliation, that he had to endure.
Pontius Pilate for example, could see no sin in him, but he still washed his hands of him and handed him over to be crucified, because it suited him.
The Jewish leaders were envious of him, and because they were full of pride and hypocrisy, they wanted him punished, for crimes he did not commit.
So, how will we respond to Jesus, and the perfect example he set for us to emulate?
I for one accept him as my Lord and saviour, for, I have nothing to lose by doing so, and this world and it's ways are passing away, so....
*Jesus died for you, me and everybody else, and set the ultimate example for all of us to follow, Amen.*
