Ted and I hammer out some world building stuff for a village outside of the monster ridden Crawlwood. We ask the question why would people in a fantasy world or any other for that matter live near a horrible place. Lets face it in a tabletop rpg we need horrible places and reasons to run adventures in them. In the end we came up with a religious reason tied to out 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons campaign and it's deities.
