Willy's Wonderland | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
476With the huge success of Five Nights at Freddy's it was a matter of time before a movie of that franchise would come out. But before that happened a low budget horror movie called Willy's Wonderland hoped to play on the similar theme with actor Nicolas Cage. Now I have to admit that I have not seen the movie and I heard it's not that great from people who have. But how about the game that has the same license?
Well, it's not particularly great, but I bought it during a sale for less than 1 dollar, so I think that is money well spent. It is a beat em up in the same style as Double Dragon or Ninja Turtles. You go from stage to stage and fight different types of enemies and end the level with a boss fight.
The controls are simple and the fights are not that interesting. The enviroments also could use a bit more variation or interesting set dressing. The game can be played with 2 player co-op and you probably have the most fun then.
Since I am The Game Archivist I want to archive all types of games that come out. Whether it is retro or a new release. That also means to archive sometimes the less fun titles and this is one of them. It is also really, really short. Maybe if they have a proper budget they can someday make a game that is great and maybe even better than the movie.
