Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
88Today we archive one of the most famous games ever made. Many call Zelda Ocarina of Time as their favorite game of all time. I was very young when this game came out and I actually thought the game was pretty scary, so I did not experience what most did back then. It wasn't until Majora's Mask that I fully immersed myself into the world of Zelda. Then afterwards I played Ocarina of Time as well and remember being blown away by how good it is.
Majora's Mask will always be my favorite, since that is the first Zelda game I ever completed, but Ocarina is a very close second. What is most impressive about this game is its buildup and pacing. Though the story might be light, it is such a beautiful hero's journey where you first wake up in a magical forest, then travel to the castle, then the volcano, the lake, etc. Every time you meet new and interesting characters and I have always loved those moments in between the dungeons where it feels more like an adventure game. The dungeons are never too crazy or difficult (except the one that is notorious) and it felt so lovely and nostalgic to go on this adventure again.
The 3D version looks way better and vibrant than the original game did and I think the 3D version is the essential version nowadays since its smoother, prettier and just controls better. This game has stood the test of time and though it might not be my favorite game of all time, I DO think it is a game everyone should have played at least once in their life.
