In Wiz Warz, players control a wizard navigating a circular arena. The objective is to eliminate various enemies using energy bolts and strategic use of the environment.
The game is played using a move knob to maneuver the wizard around the wall and a fire joystick to hurl energy bolts.
Players can also electrify the walls to destroy all enemies on the wall. Shooting treasures for points before enemies can collect them is another aspect of gameplay. However, hitting storm clouds proves to be very unpleasant.

Enemies in the game include Mauler, Cumulo Nimbus, Blu Ogre, Dwarf Dudes, Lizzymen, Schizo Serpents, Cy Clone, Bro' Viper, Evil Wiz, and the All Seeing Eye.
