Wizard of Legend is a pretty capable Isaac-like that seems to prioritise more of a melee-aspect to combat. Interestingly, it ties all abilities to wizard spells, or Arcana, that you can mix and match.

Unlocking all the spells is a bit grindy though, and it's annoying that it's so hard to remember everything, the effects of every item, and all. Even Isaac wasn't that bad. Pits are also kinda annoying.

If you're done with Isaac, this could serve as a worthy replacement though.
