As they meet up with Anya, BJ and Fergus steal an nearby police car and hotwire it, allowing the trio to escape onto the streets of Berlin. However, with Reich's police out in force due to the recent events in Eisenwald Prison and the entire city being covered by a vast camera surveillance network, Fergus, who reveals that he has joined up with the remains of the resistance group known as Kreisau Circle after the war ended and had spent previous three months as an prisoner in Eisenwald, guides BJ and Anya towards the sewer enterance of the Kreisau Circle's headquarters located below Berlin, confirming that not only is there an active resistance to Nazi rule in their own capital but also that small pockets of resistance are enduring throughout occupied Europe despite being under constant pressure by the Nazis who consider them to be nothing more than common terrorists. Once within the resistance's base, BJ discovers that in addition to Fergus, it also consists of a British man named Bobby Bram, former Nazi soldier named Klaus, his mentally retarded and physically strong but good-natured and pacifistic adopted son named Max, a mathematician named Tekla and Caroline Becker, resistance member and BJ's old acquintance who became wheelchair-bound after having part of her spine crushed during an assignment during the war. With Anya and BJ agreeing to join the resistance group immediately, BJ is informed that a file containing information on something known as Project Whisper has gone missing and that it needs to be retrieved in order to brief BJ on his first assignment for the group with BJ setting off to locate it, learning more about other resistance members along the way...
