As BJ, Caroline and Fergus prepare to leave destroyed sewer hideout of Kreisau Circle, Max suddenly enters as well, carrying injured Klaus. With five surviving resistance fighters aboard the helicopter, they fly away with Klaus, using the last of his strength, telling Max that he will have to start fighting for the resistance, ultimately passing away from his injuries aboard the helicopter.

Later, aboard Eva's Hammer, BJ, Fergus and Caroline approach Deathshead's Baltic compound with the plan being for Eva's Hammer to blow apart part of the fortress-like compound in order to allow BJ to infiltrate it, track down and rescue the resistance fighters captured and imprisoned within the compound and then signal Eva's Hammer to launch its nuclear payload onto the compound, killing Deathshead and destroying his inhumane research in the process with BJ personally firing the U-Boat's cannon in order to destroy the outer wall of the compound, allowing him to enter the facility through its basement. Despite stiff resistance posed by facility's elite guards and super soldiers and Deathshead personally taunting him via its PA system, BJ is able to fight his way through. However, while passing through the facility's laboratories, BJ is ambushed by Bubi who overdoses him with a paralyzing agent before contacting Irene Engel via nearby telecomunicator. With BJ at his mercy, Bubi presents him to Engel as a surprise for her and starts to torture him with a knife, much to her delight. However, as Bubi leans in to his ear to taunt him, BJ takes the opportunity to severely injure him by biting a part of his neck off. With Engel watching on, BJ rises back to his feet, seemingly unphased by the paralyzing agent he was injected with and violently slaughters Bubi with the knife he had used to torture him. Continuing on, BJ finally reaches the facility's holding cells and discovers that everyone has already broken out and armed themselves, proceeding to lead them towards the elevator leading to the facility's upper levels where they'll be able to escape. However, with BJ having broken the elevator to gain access to the holding cells, it stops just long enough to let out the resistance fighters while BJ ends up stuck inside and travelling upwards, eventually surfacing in Deathshead's personal study. In the ensuing confrontation, Deathshead justifies his inhumane experiments as beneficial for the Germanic "master race" before turning towards a massive collection of extracted human brains and taking one out. Much to BJ's horror, Deathshead reveals that it is the brain of Probst Wyatt, whose brain he had surgically removed during botched assault on the compound in 1946. Afterwards, he places the capsule with Wyatt's brain into an stationary combat robot present in the office, activating it and revealing that the biomechanical combination of a robot controlled by human brain is his newest generation of soldiers, dubbed "machine men". With Deathshead ordering Wyatt-controlled robot to kill BJ immediately, he is forced to run out through the door leading onto an loading bay near the top of the compound. However, the robot grabs BJ and takes all of his weapons away, forcing him to re-arm himself as he avoids its attacks. After a brief fight, BJ gains the upper hand and disables the robot long enough to expose Wyatt's brain with Wyatt, speaking through damaged robot, apologizing to BJ, claiming that he had no actual control over his actions before begging him to destroy his brain and end his suffering with BJ obliging. Immediately afterwards, Deathshead comes out to fight BJ, piloting his own combat mecha. Despite being protected by the force field generated by electricity from the ongoing thunderstorm, BJ is able to use two artillery batteries to destroy zeppelins serving as conduits for the force field, causing the power generator to explode and blow a hole leading into the area below the loading bay with Deathshead retreating there. Pursuing him, BJ engages Deathshead in one final shootout which ends with BJ destroying the mecha and injuring Deathsead. However, as he approaches him and prepares to finish him off, Deathshead reveals one final surprise as he produces a fragmentation grenade which detonates before BJ is able to pull away, killing Deathshead himself and gravely injuring BJ. Despite his injuries, BJ uses the last of his strength to order Fergus to fire an nuclear payload on the compound as freed resistance fighters led by Anya escape.
