Today we are doing some more optional stuff. By all means battle pets are not a necessary part of the game to progress but if you like pokemon, this might be for you.


Today I decided to unlearn the Black Kingsnake pet I already had and buy it again from the trainer to show where you can buy one. Yes we are still in Orgrimmar. I also did one pet battle where I simply killed the opposing creature and another where I caught a Water Snake to add it to my collection.


There is a ton of these pets everywhere. You encounter them in the world all over, some of them drop from various mobs in dungeons or raids, some can be bought and some come from achievements. So if you want to collect all of them you have some work to do.


There are also daily quests related to this activity and you can pit your pets against another player's team. However this isn't exactly my cup of tea so this is just a quick cover of the very bare basics.


If you are lonely, summon one of your pets! They won't help you at all in your adventures but they will follow you around and keep you company.
