Wrecked On RelicAAAAAAAGHH! Part 2: The Algae Has Melted
14This VOD is the 2nd part of my run on the special Lab seed for the Prehistoric Planet Pack for Oxygen Not Included! In this video, we seal off the remaining Magma Volcanoes and notice that they have cooked a significant amount of our initial Algae reserves into Dirt. This means we're going to need to get our self-powered Oxygen machines up and running slightly faster than usual. Fortunately we have a Cool Slush Geyser that can both provide cooling and enough Oxygen for our initial batch of duplicants. We're also able to get the Gold Volcano reasonably cooled with this approach, and we set up some preliminary Lumb ranches to get our excess bathroom water consumed. We're off to a pretty good start but some work is still needed on this Lumb ranch design... Cycles 18-47 are in this video.
The aim of this run is for learn about the new DLC content so that we can see how it might fit into future base designs. We'll fill in the knowledge gaps from the previous test run, survive after the impact, and hopefully establish some good use cases for the powerful Iridium material we now have access to.
