Prehistoric Planet Pack Test Run! Part 2: Lumbed Washrooms
11This VOD is the 2nd part of my test run for the Prehistoric Planet Pack for Oxygen Not Included! In this video, we start to set up our base a bit more thoroughly, sorting out the usual three important priorities: Great Halls for Morale, plumbed washrooms so that we can avoid Outhouse Issues, and smart power. In this case, we're using the new Peat Burner to generate power, which is slightly less efficient and more complicated than Coal, but does give us some extra Polluted Water that we can use to feed some plants. We also start to think more about the new resource loops between all of the new critters and plants and how we might consume the abundant Polluted Water we have from our vent without any of our usual consumers. At the moment, I'm thinking of sieving and lots of Ovagro Vines so we can get Lumbs producing Peat for us, but this seems like it will involve some complicated ranch design due to the growth pattern of the new plant... The aim of this run is for learn about all of the new DLC content so that we can see how it might fit into future base designs, particularly when the Relica biomes are shuffled into more normal asteroid types. Apologies for the minor performance issues; not sure whether this is due to the new DLC, uninstalling mods, OBS issues, or it just being a bit too hot in the UK. They do get better as the run continues.
