Wrecked On RelicAAAAAAAGHH! Part 4: Oxygen Gnit Included
11This VOD is the 4th part of my run on the special Lab seed for the Prehistoric Planet Pack for Oxygen Not Included! In this video, we venture deep into the Jawbo zone to grab a load of Gnits and Lura Plants so we can figure out how they work. The dupes get very stung and stressed in the process so we also set up some Massage Tables to ease their plight. Lura Plants produce Amber when fed airborne critters, and Gnits are quite appealing for this as they have no resource requirements; they just have to sting a critter to lay more than one egg each. Fortunately, we have plenty of excess Wild Dartles we can just shove in there for now. Long term we may need to come up with a better solution than this but for now it's essentially free Plastic. We also recruit Jorge and send him to collect some Thimble Reeds from the Stinko Swamp asteroid... it's a lot easier than Rhexes, but we'll tackle them next time. Cycles 69-91 are in this video.
The aim of this run is for learn about the new DLC content so that we can see how it might fit into future base designs. We'll fill in the knowledge gaps from the previous test run, survive after the impact, and hopefully establish some good use cases for the powerful Iridium material we now have access to.
