We kick off the final episode of NXT before the NXT Takeover Chicago event. Bayley heads to the ring to launch a promo, but it turns out that Bayley may possibly be a heel. In the first match of the night, Shinsuke Nakamura has a singles match against Curtis Axel. Shinsuke Nakamura picks up the victory, but not before taking some punishment from Curtis Axel. Next is a match where Blake with Murphy has a singles match against Dash Wilder with Scott Dawson. Murphy picks up the victory, and with the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line this Sunday, both teams are even. Bayley and Auska have an intense match, just four days before NXT Takeover Chicago. Auska picks up the victory over Bayley, however due to the constant head attacks from Auska, Bayley suffered a minor head injury. This will remove Bayley from the title match at NXT Takeover Chicago. In the main event, the NXT Champion Samoa Joe faces Hideo Itami in a singles match. In very little time Samoa Joe catches Hideo Itami in one hell of a submission, where Hideo Itami was forced to tap out. This is a wake-up call for Shinsuke Nakamura, who in 4 days will be locked in a steel cage. Only the survivor will escape from the cage, and become the NXT Champion.
