ElGato rec. No battle chatter/commentary. I go as the Caphex Spy, where I was caught off guard by my opponent choosing range attacks! Vid timeline:

We play as:

First player: First Order Sith Trooper.
Blaster: ST-W48 Blaster Rifle.
Abilities: Oppression Grenade, Seeker Tactics, Combat Rush.
Boost Cards: Interrogation, Desperation, Stalker.
Passive Ability: N/A.

Second player: Resistance Caphex Spy.
Blaster: Modified GLIE-44.
Abilities: Scanner Beacon, Rapid Fire, Truncheon Attack.
Boost Cards: Interrogation, Desperation, Stalker.
Passive Ability: N/A.

Expecting the Sith Trooper the come at us BX Commando Droid style with his Combat Rush, and instead him making use of his blaster and grenade, disoriented me. That's not his style, I thought.

He did well with what he choose to use. Although we both forgot about how to use the Sith Troopers blaster's energy bolt. This is something similar to the ARC Trooper's Power Shot ability. I instead here, it is activated by pressing the zoom button.

Turning my thoughts on the Caphex Spy, his Scanner Beacon and blaster are not as straight forward to use as the BX Commando Droid's Thermal Vision and blaster. He would be the only Infiltrator Reinforcement type of a unit who scanning ability is not mounted on his helmet. Well, he doesn't have a helmet to speak off. Instead, he throws a device similar in fashion to the Assault Class's Beacon.

Truncheon Attack is quite similar to the BX Commando Droid's Vibro Sword, with enemies being knocked to the ground on that third strike. And this is it's main virtue. But because of my opponent's good use of his range attacks, I surprisingly found myself unable to pull it off on him most of the time.

The Caphex Spy doesn't have the running speed of the BX Commando Droid. And I think his blaster requires more careful use, expecially when using the short in duration, Rapid Fire ability.

My final thought here would have to be that because we where indoors, the Scanner Beacon's orbital bombardment was not available for obvious reasons.

This has lead my to believe that the Caphex Spy could be better overall than the assassin droid outdoors. But inferior when indoors.

However, there has been (hopefully) a pause for introducing new maps for Arcade because the developers switch their resources towards Instant Action, as far as the offline part of the game is concerned. But I think having Felucia and Ajan Kloss would be good battle grounds for the Caphex Spy. As it is, only Takodana (Maz's Castle) is the only Arcade map where the spy can show of his full potential.
