I'll be honest, I have no idea how this happened. I was ready to reset at about 10 minutes in, when I knew I'd failed the satellite strategy, and only got a single flight computer from the small scout. But I decided I was gonna do a no reset run, just for practice. After that I made some really weird decisions. I decided to skip the third abduction, which caused me some problems later on, but it did save me some time. But then, I forgot to build the alien containment early, which meant I had to take another mission I wouldn't have needed to(I got very lucky, getting 3 flight computers from the second UFO)
Not taking scientists from the abductions and the fucked up satellite strategy meant I was down on both engineers and scientists, and I had to extend the run into July, which is always scary. The sheer number of skipped missions means that panic gets very high towards the end of the run. In the end, I was a single country short of getting a game over. Honestly, I don't want to think about anything that happened in the strategy layer in this run, it's cursed and it's gonna give me nightmares. The missions themselves went really well though, saving time on pretty much all of them. Especially the three minutes on Overseer UFO, because I didn't have to hunt down any stray packs on the far corner of the map.
As it turns out, you're not limited to one of each super soldier, so I went ahead and made 4 Sid Meiers. Having 4 rifts available is incredibly powerful, and it's the main reason the missions were so much faster than last time.
HOWEVER! This run is not representative of good strategy by any means. Don't copy anything I do. Look at Papers' run for that!
