All the websites these days have some form of AI-enhanced features including YouTube. One of the feature is to use AI to automatically reply to comments, which is pretty dystopian if you ask me. Imagine making comments on YouTube only to realize that you're replying to a bot. Actually, we don't have to imagine. That happens all the time. The dead internet theory strikes again, right?

Regardless, this YouTuber encountered a pretty nightmare-fuel inducing scenario where the AI responder quite literally attempted to dox the YouTuber because the AI recognized the mountain that was shown on the video. Imagine the amount of abuse that this can be done to try to locate and find someone.

I do bash AI quite a lot, and for very good reasons, but that's because I bash people using AI for the wrong reasons. I don't mind using AI to assist your work or to help you learn and expand your point of view even more, but what I do mind is using AI to take people down, and it seems that when AI bros are using AI art to demean and make fun of real artists, YouTube also decided to use AI to dox people. How awfully dystopian.
