Zap the Cyclops with Lightning in Castlevania III (NES) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #shorts
3,512In Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse on the NES, you can activate a bolt of lightning during the boss fight against the Cyclops.
In Block 3-04, you fight against the Cyclops, who is a boss with a hammer. During this fight, you may notice the clouds flickering in the background, because we are fighting during a violent storm, which is epic.
But at some point, you'll see both sets of clouds on the left and right side of the screen will flicker with fervent intensity. Well, if Trevor throws a dagger while both sets of clouds are flickering, a lightning bolt will strike the ground.
This lightning bolt can only be activated by throwing a knife while both sets of clouds are flashing like crazy. But if the lightning strikes the Cyclops it will deal 4 whole points of damage to him!
It doesn't seem as if you can precisely aim the lightning. It generally seems to affect an area a whip's length in front of Trevor, but I have seen it strike halfway off screen, so I'm not sure it can be accurately aimed.
