Zip through Fire Man stage with the Magnet Beam in Mega Man (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,730In Mega Man for the NES, there are numerous spots where you can use the Magnet Beam to zip through walls, floors, and ceilings and save significant time during speedruns. In Fire Man's stage, there are two spots where the Magnet Beam will zip you in ways that help you complete the stage faster.
At the very beginning of the Fire Man level, climb the first ladder, and reach the second ladder on the left side of the first room. Hang low on this ladder and shoot a long Magnet Beam platform to the left. If you're at the exact right height when you place this platform, you can hop on top of it and tap left, and Mega Man will zip through the wall on the right, giving him a shortcut through the first room of the level.
The second zip can be performed in the room with the fireball thingies that shoot through the weird vent thingies. You know the room.
Position Mega Man on the ladder in such a way that when he shoots a long Magnet Beam platform to the right, there is about a pixel of space between the platform and your score. Here, shoot a long platform to the right, then hop on top of that platform from the ladder. While running to the right on this platform, place another Magnet Beam platform to the right. then, when Mega Man is aligned with the hundreds digit of your score, jump to the right and hold UP.
If you did it correctly, Mega Man will grab an invisible ladder and climb up to the next area, where he will be chillin' in some lava. From here, shoot a long platform to the right and a short platform to the left. Then tap up, then right, then jump, and you can zip to the right and jump through the floor to skip a significant portion of that last room.
