So in this video I'm doing some internet speed tests with a fully modified ZTE MC888 5G cellular internet router and comparing it to a standard ZTE MC888.

You can visit Router-Mods at this link: https://geni.us/Router-Mods-Website

The modifications here are to give the ZTE MC888 external SMA antenna ports for its 4G and 5G. This comprises of 4 SMA ports for 4G and 4 SMA ports for 5G, which will then allow you to connect the modified ZTE MC888 to outdoor external antennas.

As you can see with this test, the difference between the original ZTE MC888 unmodified router compared to the fully modified ZTE MC888 router is quite substantial. The fully modified ZTE MC888 is using two outdoor external 4G antennas and one outdoor external 5G antenna.

Be aware that this kind of modification will disable the router's ability to use its internal antennas. So it is only recommended to get this modification if you are using outdoor external antennas. Plus, performance will vary depending on variables such as the distances to your 4G and 5G cell towers, line of sight, types of external antennas used etc.

You may also be interested in getting the Router-Mods two port modification for your ZTE MC888. This modification replaces the routers two TS9 ports, used for connecting to an external 5G antenna, with two SMA ports. This particular modification is an excellent way of protecting your external antenna ports from breaking, as the modified SMA ports are a lot more durable compared to the original TS9 ports.

Router-Mods also supply many 4G and 5G antennas and many different 4G and 5G routers, both modified and unmodified. They also supply modification services for many different 4G and 5G routers and they also supply installation services.
