Jason Goes To Hell was a product of New Line Cinema after purchasing the rights to the character from series creator, Sean Cunningham. While fans were hopeful, there was still some lingering doubts, as Jason was now in the home that Freddy built.

Now, letā€™s take a look back at the movie and go over 10 things you may have not known about Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday.

#1: Actor Richard Grant originally tried out for the role of Creighton Duke, but ended up being cast as the coroner. Tony Todd also auditioned for the role.

#2: Speaking of casting, actor Steven Williams said the only way heā€™d accept the role of Creighton Duke is if he could dress up as a cowboy.

#3: Legendary horror Director, Tobe Hooper, was originally considered to direct the film.

#4: Actor Kane Hodder took on 3 roles in the film.

Jason Voorhees obviously being the first.
A security guard at the morgue.
And finally, Freddyā€™s arm at the end of the movie.

#5: An early concept was ā€œJason Goes To L.A.ā€ The original idea was that some rival gang members would be fighting, Jason would show up, and the gang members would have to come together to have a chance against Jason.

#6: Jasonā€™s heart would later be reused in Robert Rodriguezā€™s From Dusk Till Dawn.

#7: The Necronomicon in the Voorhees house is the same one from Sam Raimiā€™s Evil Dead.

#8: Itā€™s obvious that Bounty Hunter, Creighton Duke, is very knowledgeable about Jason Voorhees, but weā€™re not really given much information into their backstory. Near the end of the film, Creighton Duke handcuffs himself to Jason Voorhees and says:

ā€œSon of a bitch, you remember me?ā€

Implying that Jason and Duke have met in the past and possibly battled each other before. Well, thereā€™s actually some information that didnā€™t make it into the final cut in the film. In an earlier draft of the script, it was revealed that Dukeā€™s girlfriend was one of Jasonā€™s many victims.

#9: Speaking of cut scenes, the original rough cut of the film came in at a staggering 130 minutes. The film suffers from some massive re-cuts to get it under a runtime of 90-minutes.

#10: Originally, there was going to be a flashback sequence featuring Jasonā€™s mother, with Betsy Palmer reprising her role. Palmer refused, so the idea was axed.

Well, Jason has officially made it to hell, folks. Thatā€™s it for this video, but stay tuned because our next destination is space. If you want to go with us, make sure you subscribe to the channel and stay tuned.
