In Cyprus, the Theatre Reserve Battalion continues to train hard ahead of any possible deployment to Afghanistan. 2 Royal Anglian, normally based at Dhekelia Garrison, are in Paramali near Episkopi this week keeping up to speed with their skills and drills, including helicopter re-supplies, shuras and how to deal with IDF attacks. The Battalion have been in the Theatre Reserve Battalion role now for nearly six months but as yet have not been required in theatre. As ever their training is based on the unpredictable conditions and designed to test everyone to their limits, and that includes a sharing of skills within each company.
