Price Point
We all love to save money, and FIAT makers agreed when pricing the 500X. Starting at around $20,000 for the entry-level Pop trim and $27,000 for the premium top-of-the-line Trekking Plus model, the 500X is more than reasonable on pocketbooks.
Functional Versatility
FIAT equipped four out of five models -- all except the base Pop version -- with a 180-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that produces 175 lb-ft of torque. The Trekking Plus model is the sportiest of the bunch, but all of the 500X models are practical and versatile, with great capabilities for a subcompact crossover.
Frugal on Fuel
These days, you're left in the dust if you're not efficient at the pump. In base form, the 500X returns an impressive 34 miles per gallon on the highway. Across the board on all front-wheel-drive models, the 500X gets a satisfactory Environmental Protection Agency rating of 25 mpg in combined city and highway driving. This vehicle won't leave you breaking the bank at gas stations.
Crafty and Nifty
The 500X differentiates from its relative the 500L in that it has slightly more ground clearance and available all-wheel drive. Parking is easy because of its relatively small wheelbase. It has a carlike feel, and blended with its elevated driving position, makes taking on the road fun.
Feature Friendly
The 500X presents you with plenty of options in the features category. Standard on the entry-level Pop model are 16-inch wheels and heated mirrors with a signal alert. Upgrades seem endless as you can opt for a heated steering wheel, the user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system and even safety features like a blind spot monitoring system and a lane-departure intervention system.
