The 2019 Czapek Czapek Place Vendome Tourbillon Suspendu "Ombres" is a complicated watch with a GMT function, a tourbillon, a 43.5mm grade five titanium case, and a black grand feu enamel dial for the local time zone. Originally launched in 2017, the Czapek Place Vendome Tourbillon Suspendu "Ombres" is a robust and useful tourbillon watch that will be offered in a limited edition of 25 pieces.
The Place Vendome Tourbillon Suspendu features an open dial with tiered displays. The uppermost portion of the dial features the black grand feu enamel track for reading local hours and minutes; the hands feature Super Luminova. Within the enamel sub-dial, a power reserve indicator keeps track of the remaining mainspring energy. The tourbillon regulator sits at eight o'clock on the dial, and the second time zone with day/night indicator sit at five o'clock and six o'clock, respectively.
Inside the titanium case, which is water resistant to 30 meters, a manual wind Czapek SXH02 movement is properly sized to fill the sapphire display caseback. The SXH02 was developed in partnership with Chronode, and it features 60-hour power reserve. The movement includes the one-minute tourbillon, the second time zone function, a beat rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and high horology hand-finishing.
