#632 Psychic Force 2012 Hidden Characters (1/3): Burn playthrough.
A playthrough of the hidden character Burn in Taito's Psychic Force 2012.
"Hey, what should we name this character?"
"Well, we only have three minutes until lunch, just write down the first thing you think of."
Burn might be the single least imaginative name for a fighting game character in existence. I can't remember if he's a boss or not, but for some reason the three unlockable characters in this game are characters from the first game. What's more, the PS1 port (named Psychic Force 2, just to be even more confusing) added three exclusive hidden characters.
Despite the generic name, Burn is probably the best character in the game. He's the only character I was able to beat Wong with, something I will get to in the next video. His attacks are powerful, generally easy to use and he's quite quick as well, meaning that on the whole he's probably the most competent character in the game. Kinda funny to effectively chuck out three of your main characters (Wong, Burn and Keith) only to have them come back as hidden characters/bosses, but oh well. The Tekken series has taken this approach too from time to time, but I definitely preferred it though. As with Keith in the previous game, Burn is a unique character in a unique game, so it's difficult to summarise him in any meaningful well. He's just a quirky character in a quirky little series.
