MY LOVE FOR YOU IS LIKE A TRUCK
BER-SER-KERRRRRR
Rock returns. Kind of. Not really. An unofficial appearance is “better than nothing”, as Inafune would say.
Rock here is awesome, truth be told. He has the right mix of range and speed to work in this game; like most of the slower characters still being a high-risk/high-reward character, but he’s just a far bit more competent with most. His f+K is a launching knee attack, which could only give you some much needed space for a ranged strike or can lead into a juggle, and his running A+B attack is really nice, knocking the opponent back and easily out of the ring if they’re close to the edge of the arena. Indeed, he’s just really competent on the whole, especially for a partially-playable character. Just a shame that, like Assassin (Hwang), he isn’t fully developed.
One thing I didn’t bring up last time is that each of the unplayable characters has Talim as their destined battle. The reason for this seems to be that, somehow, Talim is sort of the default character in the coding, despite the fact that the first character value is held by Mitsurugi. Pretty odd, it must be said.
We will see Rock again, and he’ll be even better than he is here.
Next up, the last of the partially-playable characters.
