A Critical Thought on Horror Enemy Design
Today's Critical Thought announces the 700 subscriber let's play pick and we talked about enemy design in horror games. As the genre moved to more action-based gameplay, the enemy designs have moved away from horror.
Good horror enemy design requires making fights more meaningful and less frequent. I also talked about the concept of an "Alpha Antagonist" and what it means for games like Alien Isolation.
