I knew I should've kept putting this off. I knew I should've just kept doing my own thing and letting the villagers live in peace. I should've known better by now. No one is safe from the world of Yoko Taro. No one. Not even Pascal.

But I have to say, in Pascal's final moments, before he forgot everything, he was truly a badass who earned even more respect from me than he already had. It conveys the emotions even more when someone as kind and gentle as Pascal is pushed into a rage-induced bloodlust for the sake of justice and protection of the ones he cares about.

It felt so good to see Pascal take a stand and finally fight back to protect the peace he strove for, but I knew something bad had to be coming. This whole episode was just one emotional roller coaster, full of at LEAST 2 ups and downs, if not more.

I don't know why, but this bothered me even more than 2B's death. Maybe because of the way it was executed? Maybe it was the scale? Maybe it's because it was built up on top of all the losses we'd already suffered up until now?

But what makes it even worse was that A2 was just starting to open up to Pascal and the village. After reading about what happened to make A2 into the person she is now, some of her wounds were beginning to heal, and it was ripped away from her.

She allowed Pascal and the village into her heart, only for them to be ripped away and leave a fresh new gaping hole where they used to be.

I'm glad Pascal isn't dead. He wouldn't deserve that, though not like he deserved what happened instead either. But... with his memories wiped, isn't it the same thing? It wasn't just Pascal, though. It was the village that he built, and the machine community that grew from it.

And now they're all gone...
