I have acquired an RGB2HDMI, and while it took some time to really figure out how it works, I finally have it to a point where I can make captures with the Datapath. Here I am using Thexder, and as you can hear, it is being run on a Tandy 1000 computer (Tandy 1000 TL). Thexder will select EGA graphics even in a Tandy system if an EGA card is present, any graphics card inserted into a Tandy 1000, except the original pre-*X models, will disable the onboard video.

In EGA mode, Thexder uses the 640x200 graphics mode with 16 colors. I prefer this mode over the more-colorful Tandy 320x200 or the MCGA 320x200 modes because Thexder was originally made for the Japanese NEC PC-8801 series of computers and their high resolution 640x200 mode.
