This is the japanese version, but i don't see any noticeable differences between this and any of the world revisions outside some enemy placements and a glitchy extend counter that eliminates your extend immediately on stage four if you get one after beating the stage three boss. Anyway, this is probably the epitome of data east jank and can be kind of frustrating. Bullets scroll along with you, which means you can take a stupid hit and get completely downgraded. Hit boxes are also unreasonably large, and you'll get hit or collide with things you wouldn't be able to see. Despite the massive flaws, there still is a good game here. Also, i wish that the last boss (which is totally the R-9 from R-Type) had a rainbow clown wig to go in conjunction with the music that plays, but sadly, he doesn't. Oh well. 8.5/10
