#AD | Panzer Dragoon: Remake First time playthrough. Normal Difficulty.
Labelled as #AD as I was given a PC Game Key from Woovit/Forever Entertainment S.A. This video is not a paid sponsor.
The remake of a Sega Saturn classic.
You can tell this is a first time playthrough by seeing me getting hit one too many times and attacking certain enemies that are invincible.
The game is mostly faithful to the original but has the option of modern controls that allows the left stick to move the dragon and the right stick to move the aiming cursor. I chose classic because I'm mostly comfortable to the single stick style after playing games like Afterburner and Star Fox 64.
I removed the cutscenes and cut the load times down to a minimum for faster viewing. I did it in 2 sittings. First sitting was the first 2 levels and the next sitting being the rest of the game.
The (classic) music is still the best element about the game.
Gameplay has the 360 aiming system but the lack of a defensive technique (barrel roll) can make it hard at times to avoid taking damage (again this is based on a game that was out March 95, just over two years before the release of the more recognizable Star Fox 64 game).
