Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Game Comparison: Stealth changes from V1 to V1.2 and Wallace rant.
A new Scott Pilgrim video since 2013!?
Yeah, by the end of 2013 the game was delisted due to its licence getting expired and became the most popular example of why Digital Only games are not the future moving forward. 7 years later, both the game and film turned 10 years old and ended up getting a complete edition re-release for the current platforms of 2020 sans PS5 and Xbox Series S/X (natively at least).
On the plus side this version IS getting a physical release which is fine in USA but other countries are going to pay extra import fees, pull a Streets of Rage 4 and have a plain standard release worldwide without the limited quantity FOMO nonsense.
The Complete Edition videos I've watched on Youtube so far turns out to be based on the latest patch that was out for the original Xbox 360/PS3 release in March 2013 but I made this video because the latest builds whether it's 2021's Complete or 2013 Wallace Wells build made some gameplay adjustments, I'm not a huge fan on most of them because fixing a glitch that has 0 impact on the casual gamer makes very little sense (cutscene skip).
Think of this as an educational video to the new players who picked up the recent complete edition.
Simply put there are 3 main builds.
V1.0 is the original 2010 release without any patches.
V1.1 is the original 2010 release with Knives Chau DLC patch
V1.2 is the original 2010 release with Wallace Wells DLC patch
Complete is the new 2021 release, it's identical to V1.2 but with credits skip.
Some may disagree with me pointing out the cutscene skip fix (it does make it longer to beat it when going for a fast time) but I also pointed out why Wallace was a very lazy character to create and NOT a valid excuse to play the latest patch over V1.1's Knives Chau patch which was out in December 2010.
HP is interesting because it was tough for V1.0 then toned down in V1.1 and then back to tough in V1.2 and complete. The dumbest change really are removing the item at the start of W7.3 and the Thank You For Playing screen.
