Charge attacks a pretty underrated due to its slow build up and inability to turnaround mid-charge. There is a slightly better way to utilise them depending on the character as it turns out that on the 4th press of attack, if you hold the button down instead of tap, the player will go into a charge attack with a max power blink that comes out 33 frames faster than usual, that is over 1/2 of a second faster by the way. This is a neat meterless way to counter combo-breaker tech from the bosses by performing the usual full combo beforehand.
One strict rule to remember that this trick only works on the 4th input, if you tapped one too many times and decided to press and hold on the 5th input, the charge attack will be standard speed.
