Imagine a game that's nothing but one long turret section! ...yeah, goes about as well as you'd expect. :P

Today on Ancient DOS Games Gemini's taking a look at Backlash, a relatively obscure game designed to simulate to experience of a World War II ball turret gunner, but with spaceships in the future. It was the only game developed and published by Sanctuary Software Studio and originally came out in 1994, though most of the versions available for download or purchase came out in 1995.

Additional Information and Corrections:

* Here's the page on the RGB Classic Games website where you can download either the shareware or registered versions of the game: https://www.classicdosgames.com/game/BACKLASH.html

* For some bizarre reason, the installer for this game is EXTREMELY slow. So slow in fact that I was questioning whether it was locked up or not at one point. Rest assured, it does work fine, just... be prepared to wait a surprisingly long amount of time for the game files to extract properly. :P

* It's weird the kinds of words you end up saying wrong sometimes... :P
