Adventuring seems like a fun way to live, but in reality, it would suck *BIG TIME*. If you think about it, this would be one of the worst, most dangerous jobs imaginable. Darkest Dungeon inspired me to analyze this topic and confront my observations from it with several other RPG series like Baldur’s Gate, Dragon Age, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Mass Effect, Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Wasteland, or The Witcher. And despite all the seemingly cool things we get to do in those, adventuring would still be something to consider twice before you gather your party and venture forth.
